Description

Student Pitching Competition & Student Incubation Hub Launch

The Entrepreneurs Network is proud to host a Student Pitching Competition on the 13th November 2017, coinciding with the grand launch of our new Student Incubation Hub at Swansea University, sitting proudly within the Research, Engagement and Innovation Services department.

We extend a warm invitation to all Swansea University students wishing to start or develop an existing business to attend, and deliver a 90 second pitch covering:

  • who you are

  • what is your business idea?

  • what is your offer or technology?

  • what do you need to take your business proposition forward?

With prizes including a £1,000 market report, office space, Start-Up cash, publicity and mentoring, the event will provide students with a unique opportunity to gain access to funding and support, and network with a wide range of individuals that can provide support in developing and growing businesses.

Giving an Elevator Pitch

Whilst there is plenty of information on-line regarding the development of an elevator pitch, it may be worth reviewing the following tips from the Development Bank of Wales, who happen to be sitting on our judging panel!!! https://businessnewswales.com/perfect-elevator-pitch/

About the Student Incubation Hub

The goal of the Entrepreneurs Network is to provide a platform for our peers to explore entrepreneurship in its purist form by gaining hands on experience.

As part of the event, we will be officially opening the new Student Incubation Hub, and showcasing the new facility to all those in attendance. Our vision is to provide a space where students can build their businesses within a safe, nurturing and energetic environment.
